New Year’s Eve 2014- Menswear

Man... what to wear on New Year’s Eve!? 
Get inspired from my moodboard for menswear.
The blazer is always a classic on New Year’s Eve, wear a shirt with a slim tie or wear the bow tie. 
If you want to be more casual, then use a T-Shirt underneath, with or without print.
The more trendy or should I write, „brave“ guys are wearing a velvet blazer in colour bordeaux or royal blue.
You can wear all kinds of pants for your blazer... flat front pants, coloured chinos or just the plain normal 5 pocket jeans.
If you are not the blazer type, then wear simply a shirt with a bow tie or for the more casual look a denim shirt with a bow tie.

A sparkling New Year’s Eve!

Missing some inspiration for what to wear on New Year’s Eve then get inspired from my moodboard for womenswear.
Glitter are always a popular choice for holiday parties and especially appropriate for a New Year’s Eve bash. 
What better way to welcome 2014 than with a little sparkle?
I have bought a glitter legging (similary to the legging on the right top on the moodboard) and I will combine it with some black, maybe a black blazer. If you have a glitter item, then combine it only with basic coloured items!

NEO GRUNGE MENSWEAR

..and we have not forgotten the men, there (for this autumn) is wearing a new masculine, dark underground look with key items as 
the leather jacket with biker elements, black denim, checked shirts 
in deep red- or green tones. Oversized knitted sweater or cardigan, with heavy boots or high ankle sneakers and a knitted beanie to get the finished cool neo- grunge look.

NEO GRUNGE WOMENSWEAR

The ninetees nostalgia are back and neo grunge style is one of the trends. Fashion has reinvented grunge and the result is a neo grunge style with key item such as:
oversize parka, blouson jacket, leather biker jacket, checked shirt & skirt, destroyed jeans, slim pant or leggings, rough knit cardigans, plateau sneakers, military boots, knitted beanies.

Leather jacket for men- SS14

I posted yesterday a moodboard about leather for women (for SS2014) but it is not only a trend for the women, this goes also for the men. Here is the focus more on the jacket.. here can you combined it with different types/ looks. You can wear the jacket to a more classic look with a white shirt to black pants or the army look, were you wear army coloured baggy pants to a printed T-Shirt or wear the jacket for the grunge look to black destroyed jeans with a white T-shirt, black hoody & checked shirt. Leather jacket vs leather skirt vs leather pants

After all the fashion weeks (Berlin in July, Copenhagen in August, New York, London, Mailand, Paris in September) it is now time for a fashion wrap- ups in the form as I know best.. with moodboards.
 I will not post all the trends at once. Instead each week I will post a new moodboard so you are sure off which trend there will come for spring/ summer 2014.
The first moodboard here ist the  „Leather jacket vs leather skirt vs leather pants“ and
now you´re going to say... „leather .. still??“ and I will answer „yes it is still here and it´s still in black!“ and it continuing to all kinds of shapes.
For the skirt is it from the slim pencil skirt to the wide mini skirt and for the pants, is it from slim shaped to wide shorts.
The leather jacket do we know from the last 4 years, starting with the biker shape into the more classic blazer. So if you still do not have a black leather jacket, then is it about time!
I was in especially fond of  the Isabel Marant collection where she combine leather with laces and for the Saint Laurent black & white collection with a lots of  slim pants & mini skirts out of leather
combined with white shirts and smoking jacket.
So get inspired from my leather moodboard, there also shows you how to combine those sexy black things.

Sneaker Surprise

As I mention before in a earlier Facebook post, did I start with a moodboard with sneakers in Oktober last year.
(I have a lots of unfinished moodboards, first when I have a feeling... yes, this is a funny/ cool trend, do I finish the moodboard).
Now have I refinished my  „Sneakers“ moodboard because I´m sure that this sneakers trend continues into the next year.
We have seen a lot of neon coloured sneakers in this summer (Most seen is the retro sneakers from Nike or New Balance)
but as we come closer to winter, does the sneakers become more clean, basic and for the women.. higher.. so called sneaker wedge
Also the runner last summer..... Victoria Beckham, did already wear white sneaker wedges in 2007! (The native Parisian designer Isabel Marant invented them).
Right now do most women wear sneakers to leggings,  skinny pants or hot pants but if you are really trendy, do you wear your sneakers or wedge sneakers to a short shirt and with naked legs.
If you will wear socks then please use the sneaker socks to get that 'invisible' no-sock look with your trainers/ sneakers.
What is really cool is if you wear a typical classic clothes and then surprise your viewer/ watcher with sneakers (see my examples at the moodboards left corner).
For men is it also really cool to wear a suit together with sneakers.. again the surprise moment is the important element here.

90ies are back!

„Sportswear is just too good to waste on the gym!?“, the 90ies are back.
Think track pants, rugby shirts, high tops and varsity jackets. But wear it cool.. different. Do not copy the 90ies.
A rugby shirt to a pencil shirt, a cap to a blazer.. the mix makes it cool.. Surprise is an important element of this trend.

Native

For this moodboard was I inspired from the native pattern. I just love those colourful pattern.
This trend will also continue the whole year through, also for autumm/ winter 2013-14.
For the summer 2013 are the colours in pastel soft colours. For autumm/ winter are the colours more in the dark shades.

Galaxy

I just love this new trend with galaxy printed outfit and have also just posted a article about my new bought galaxy styles I got today. So I think that this is a good time to also post my moodboard which I made last week.
With this moodboard do you also get a much better hunch of which possibilities there is.

I got my parcel today from Urban Outfitters and I just love my new galaxy printed leggings out of velvet fabric & the printed cape from Evil Twin.

Black & white colour is back for this summer 2013, whether done in graphic patterns, colour blocking,
striped version or just paired together in a modern contrast look.
It is timeless colour combination for everyone, young or old, man or woman.
The style can be sophisticated noble-minded to rockish coolness.

Army Dudes & Dudies

After Berlin & Copenhagen Fashion week have I notice that military- inspirered and camouflage pattern is still everywhere to see.
After last summer and winter season did I thought it was over but as I found out on the fairs, is it still a big deal.
I personally think that this trend will last one more year because by many catwalks, who now shows Autumn/Winter 2013-14 collection, do I see time after time camouflage on the stage (and on the streets). Not always in the typically army colours but also in blue or gray shades.... and blue tones becomes more and more important.
So do not hesitate to buy some camouflage.. it's still going strong! ;o)
