Pencil skirt... a problem when you do not have a perfect figure?

A girlfriend of mine just wrote to me... about what to do, if you have a figure zone problem as a big stomach.
I thought that I have to make a board/ overview, where you can see all the top combination, you can make, despite your "belly" problem. A problem many of us have because we do not have this small waist as we had, when we were young.
Photo 1-4: shows how you can use a knitted sweater to cover your problem zone. I like the brave combination with the striped sweater together with the flowered skirt, very trendy.
Photo 5. is a denim shirt stuffed in the skirt which looks great but of course does it not work when you have a big belly. But try here with the photo 6 or 7 solution, where the shirt is partly over the belly or as photo 12, where the shirt (and sweater) is covering the whole stomach.
Photo 8. Here is used a knitted cardigan.. also a great idea.. of course should your cardigan not be so tight if you have a big belly but choose a slightly loose cardigan. To mark your waist with a coloured belt is also nice but NOT if you cover the whole belt with your stomach when you are sitting down.. then is it a NO GO!
By photo 9-12 is used a jacket, also a good idea. I like the jeans jacket as a new and unexpected combination to the more conservative pencil skirt. But do also try to use a jacket in the biker style/ shape. Now.. go out and buy your pencil skirt ..and good luck with the combination!

THE PENCIL SKIRT REVIVAL

The pencil skirt is back... and there is a reason for this.
For the next seasons becomes the fashion direction more minimalist, more straight.
In this summer 2012 was the hit/ trend the pleated skirt but now we will see more clean looks.
At the moodboard, I have made, can you see, with what or how you combine your pincil skirt.

WIKI, just to info:
A pencil skirt is a slim-fitting skirt with a straight, narrow cut.
Generally the hem falls to, or just below, the knee and is tailored for a close fit.
It is named for its shape; long and slim like a pencil.
